If you need to waste about 8 minutes of your lonely Tuesday sitting at your computer this is a nice piece to do so with. You don't necessarily need the music and for me it got a bit too hectic at times. The imagery is enough to push you through. If you need to fast forward a bit at times do so, you're able to pop in and out of this piece at will. Some really beautiful moments caught while camping out in Iceland. Nice piece!
Best Present Day Filmaker
If you were wondering why Wes Anderson is considered by many to be the best present day filmaker, its because all of his films are phenomenal. On top of having the balls to film and produce this film entirely in 4:3 (Standard Definition TV formatting)? I mean, talk about risk and reward. I guess if you've proven yourself as many times as Wes Anderson has studio's will let you do whatever the hell you want. On top of allowing you to hire more and more quality talent. Look at this cast! Thanks to my wife for the link. So stoked to see The Grand Budapest Hotel in theaters.
Walks With The Boy
I spent about two weeks as primary caretaker for my son while transitioning my wife back to her day job. (Her real job is mama, just like mine is papa) Every night around 5PM he'd get really restless and want to go do something. Go outside and just see some new stuff. So I decided to start strapping him on and grabbing my camera to take some snapshots. This day was unique as we were out right during the sweet spot of the sun falling on the horizon. There weren't many clouds and it was an exceptionally beautiful walk for the both of us. (He was a happy camper). Here are a few snaps from this stroll. The Morning Dance
While you may have noticed that a majority of the content of this blog has disappeared, you may also be wondering what content will be put up because of our forced rebuild. My life has changed so much over the past 4 months. I'm not really sure where to begin. I'm not sure that you're even all that interested in how my life has changed and what it all means. Instead of writing for a few hours to explain to you somehow where I am in my life currently. I'm just going to do my best to continue to post photographs and films from my current life and see if that convey's some sort of message of who and what I've become. Or you'll just think I'm being another self serving guy with a blog on the internet.
Coming Back From Catastrophic Failure
I had a bit of a meltdown when it came to pretty much every website I own.i.e. they're pretty much all gone. So we're rebuilding. Give us a minute.
